When buying this product I didn’t like the enhanced xl beveled edge in this size. I don’t know what is in this stuff and what am I breathing from the out gassing? Unlike wood floors, that can be sanded and refinished, there is no way to breathe new life into LVP floors. I’m trying to decide if I lay 3/8″ OSB on top of our 3/4″ plywood with a layer of green glue noise proofing compound in between, OR if I can use a thin 1.5 MM soundproofing underlayment. I came back to this website to see if anyone had posted a fix for the scratches. I am considering both products. Just got the Coretec Vinyl Floor and I am soooo disappointed ! It shows every footprint! Comments like, “don’t do it,… don’t buy it,… horrible, worst product, etc., are useless and typically unbalanced, especially when you know there are people who have this same product who find the opposite to be true. I would definitely NOT recommend this flooring. It would be much easier to trim the locking part from the tile and glue down. Same thing with me, feels like walking in sand, cannot keep clean, shoes everything. Thank you. Also, you have to be sure there is no dirt on the floor before you attempt to move anything even if you have the felt furniture guides underneath the item. I purchased the Coretec Plus XL-Enhanced in Appalachian Pine. Now I am rug shopping to cover them, so even more money. What was your experience with it? I am in the market to purchase flooring and I haven’t found your product in any stores, i.e, Home Depot, Lowes, Ollies. Wear-through means that the inner layer is exposed and does not cover a loss of sheen. We even had some design challenges with a sunken living room with a curve next to the foyer, and this is where having a professional do the install really makes a difference. Would not honor warranty meanwhile my floor is getting worse every day. My reasons for choosing this were 1-the highest wear layer (20ml) that I could find. I decided to take the plunge and paid extra to get the COREtec. My *main* thing is that the floor is durable, easy to clean, and won’t scratch with my 70lb pup! Many people choose to steer clear of synthetic flooring such as LVP because it can emit gasses and volatile chemicals, called VOCs, into the home. So much for ease of care, wear and durability if it looks dirty all the time it negates all of that. With these 11 different ranges the COREtec Plus collection provides a HUGE choice of styles and sizes in both in wood look planks and stone look tiles, including some super wide and extra long planks at 21” x 180”. I am not sure which product you have, but I do know that across the board with every brand we have looked at, they’re are high end, medium and low end finsihes and they all wear differently due to the different finsishes the factory puts on them. COREtec Plus’ cork underlayment helps deal with both of these issues. How do you find they are holding up??? Judy, did you figure out what the problem was that made the crinkly sound? Highly disappointed… I researched these floors but it wasn’t until I had them installed (1300 SF) and experienced the smudges, and tried to see if others experienced this and lo and behold, seems like a known issue. Like others have expressed, everything leaves a mark, even drops of water and when you used damp cloth or mop as suggested it is very hard to leave free of marks. I have a large sample and continue to walk on it to see how I would like and compare the haze look that most have complained about. Hi Debbie, I have felt pads on all of my furniture, and the kitchen table chairs are slid in and out everyday. Hi Liz, it really depends on what surface material you are applying it on. Dents and scratches are NOT fixable; they are permanent. You need a professional. I’m buying Coretec plus hd xl this week and installing it t/o the entire house. What the heck?? For those of you reading this and have not bought LVP yet, I would suggest that you ask yourself why somebody might be having certain difficulties with this product, or any other product if you don’t understand the context, the dynamics, the circumstances, etc., of their complaint. I have COREtec One installed, it is the best Flooring I have seen. Nice. we have the floors now held together with tape. Some brands I liked the color of but we’re only 5.5 mm thick and seemed flimsy. As one commenter said, no floors are perfect. Do these floors provide traction for dogs not to slip and slide ? The moldings are 94” long and are available in Quarter Round, T-Mold, Reducer, Baby Threshold, Stair Cap and Stair Nose. But if a dining chair gets a grain of sand/tiny gravel under it and an adult drags it with their weight on it, it leaves a very noticeable white scratch. Anyway, we went to the flooring company this morning and chose our new floors which will be put right over the existing floors. Purchased 300sf of Coretec tile, 18″x24″ with cork backing. . It looked great! The house is 12 yrs old, but we have lived here only 4 years. Between the scratches from the dog’s nails, dents from dropping utensils, and scratches from sliding chairs, our maple floors went to crap in 2-3 years. LVP looks like real wood but is almost half the price of wood flooring. I’m just so confused now, how can some people say the flooring is terrible & scratches easily & others who have had the flooring for years say it’s still perfect with no scratches??? I haven’t gotten any scratches either. My concern is will the CORETEC fade? One major con – this particular color is matte finish. Mary Beth, the Coretec Plus Planks are pretty solid and don’t ‘give’ since they have a solid core. No. I’ve had my floor for 2 years. I want to warn people and hold this company accountable for the false advertising and inferior, expensive product. Installed only months ago. Saved me from having to break up the tile, which would have caused a lot of dust to fly everywhere. I’ve had my Manila Oak Cortec for almost a year and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. We have a post and beam house with a lot of wood ceilings and such and it blends right in. Is it truly 100% waterproof and will the warranty extend to RV installation? Shows dirt easily: Can’t understand how this is the floorings fault, but dirt is dirt and will be there regardless of flooring type.
